Privacy notice

Last updated 25 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data mamaPut collects, why, who it goes to, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website, the mamaPut app for ordering food, the mamaPut Kitchen app for the kitchens that cook it, and the applications and waitlist on this site. It is written for UK data protection law: the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The short version

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is MAMAPUT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17432221, registered office Belmont House, St. Faiths Street, Maidstone, England, ME14 1LH. Our ICO registration number will be added here as soon as registration completes.

For anything to do with your data, email info@mamaput.app. We aim to reply within five working days and answer formal requests within one month.

The kitchens on mamaPut are independent businesses. When a kitchen receives your order details, it is responsible for how it uses them, and our terms say it may use them only for that order, not to keep them or to market to you.

To give you the money off you are owed, thank you for invites, run the stamp cards kitchens offer, let friends order together, and get you a kitchen's quote for an event.Contract.
Notifications
A token for your phone that lets us send it notifications, and a record of what we sent and whether it arrived.
To tell you about your order as it happens, and to stop sending to a phone that no longer has the app.Contract for order updates. Notifications are your choice in your phone's settings.
Offers and news, if you turn them on
Your choice, and when you made it. If you saved a kitchen, we may tell you when it starts an offer, at most once a week for each kitchen.
To send you offers and news by email or notification.Consent. Turn it off at any time in the app under Your details; order updates still come.
Searches and favourites
What you searched for, the first half of your postcode, what came back and whether it led to an order; the kitchens and dishes you save; alerts you ask for when a dish or kitchen is back.
To improve search, find dishes customers want that no kitchen offers yet, and keep your favourites and alerts.Legitimate interests for searches; contract for favourites and alerts.

Applications and the waitlist on this website

If you apply to cook on mamaPut, we keep what you send (business name, your name, email, phone, city, cuisine and your answers about how you take orders today) to assess the application and contact you about it, on the basis of our legitimate interests: you approached us about a business relationship. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, city and the dish you miss most if you tell us, to email you when we launch near you, on the basis of your consent; withdraw it at any time and we delete your entry.

Technical data

Our servers see your IP address, browser or app version and the time of each request, which our hosting provider keeps in logs for a short time, to keep the service running and to block abuse. If an app or our servers crash, an error report goes to Sentry with your account number but not your IP address, your name or your email. This is on the basis of our legitimate interests in a service that works and is secure.

Who else sees your data

People

Providers who work for us

Each of these handles data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.

Authorities

We report kitchens’ sales to HMRC once a year as the reporting rules for digital platforms require, and we share data with the police, a court or a regulator where the law requires it or to protect someone from harm.

Outside the UK

Some of these providers are based in, or have parent companies in, the United States or the European Union. Where your data leaves the UK, it goes to a country the UK recognises as protecting it adequately (including US companies certified under the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or under the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your data, we use no advertising trackers and no analytics software, and we do not build profiles of you for advertising. The order in which dishes appear follows the rules in our terms: what you searched for, how near the kitchen is and the price, or the order you choose. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you is made by a computer alone.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, or to object to our using it, and to have it in a format another service can use. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Exercising these rights is free, and we will not treat you differently for it.

In the app, Your data under Account lets you download everything we hold about you and delete your account; Your details lets you correct your name and number and turn offers on or off. Notifications and location access are in your phone’s settings. For anything else, email info@mamaput.app. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so we do not hand your data to someone else.

Deleting your account

In the mamaPut app, open Account, then Your data, then Delete my account. In the mamaPut Kitchen app, open Settings, then Delete your account, which closes the kitchen for good first; it cannot while an order is open or an event is booked. If you cannot use the app, email info@mamaput.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it; we do it within one month and tell you when it is done.

Your account closes at once and you are signed out everywhere. Saved cards and your record at Stripe are deleted at once, and your name, email, phone, addresses, notes, gift details, review text and notification records are erased 30 days later. A deleted account cannot be signed into again. The record of your orders is kept without your details for six years for tax, and a closed kitchen’s sales and legal details likewise, as set out above.

Cookies and what is stored on your device

This website sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics. The bot check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) may keep a short-lived value in your browser so you are not asked again; it does not track you across websites. The apps keep your sign-in in your phone’s secure storage, and your basket and choices on the phone, so the app works as you left it. Our team’s admin site uses a sign-in cookie, which only staff ever have.

Children

mamaPut is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling their helpline on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We update this page when what we do with data changes, and the date at the top is always the current version. If a change matters to you and we have your email address, we tell you before it takes effect.
